Why there is no priest in Shakti Peetam?
Well and good! But what if I don't know what to do when visiting Shakti Peetam? What if I don't know mantras or how to perform rituals to Supreme Mother AdhiParaShakti? Answer - Here is where the 'Priesthood' comes into place. Shakti Peetam has good number of dedicated and committed volunteers of both genders who are fully trained in performing rituals to Supreme Mother AdhiParaShakti. During your visits to Shakti Peetam, these red-clad volunteers who take on the Priesthood will help each and everyone on the method of worship, and performing rituals to the Mother. These red-clad caretakers are the 'Priests' as they undertake the work of performing rituals to the Mother, but not on-behalf of the visitors / devotees.
In our 'Priesthood' scope of definition, we don't pray or worship or perform rituals on behalf of others. We help others to do them for themselves thus fostering the direct divine connection and experience. Sure this is different from thousands of years of Hindu Temple practices. But we are confident that everyone will enjoy the direct divine connection and the ability we provide for directly reflecting Mother in themselves and them in Mother.
Shakti Peetam & Spiritual Center in Chester Springs, PA is a true platform for awakening the spiritual consciousness in each and everyone. It is a place for 'Self-Realization' through the path of unconditional devotion (Bhakti) and selfless service (Seva).
The Supreme Mother AdhiParaShakti is already in you. Come to Shakti Peetam and realize this fact, consciously establish the connection, and enjoy the bliss of knowing that the Mother is in you and you are in Mother.
